PITTSBURGH — Everywhere we go in Steel City, curious Pittsburghers have asked us some variety of the question: What do you think about Amazon HQ2 in Pittsburgh?

Uber drivers. Salespeople. And now morning television hosts have quizzed us about the concept of one of the world’s most valuable companies establishing a major outpost on the banks of the Monongahela, one that could bring up to 50,000 jobs.

It’s a fascinating question, one that’s on the minds of many Pittsburghers. We’ve had a front row seat to the change that a growing tech behemoth can have on a city, witnessing it first-hand in GeekWire’s hometown of Seattle.
