Trending: Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman among Seahawks players wearing new high-tech Vicis helmet

Seattle is proud of its growing virtual reality community and already boasts several promising VR and AR startups. But the young industry took a blow this week when startup Envelop VR announced it was closing its doors.

We also take a look at the Seattle athletes who made a list of top Twitter users, and a high-tech football helmet that was patented by Bill Gates and Bellevue, Wash.-based Intellectual Ventures.

Plus, we discuss how Amazon’s video empire stands up to competitors like Netflix, particularly given its recent successes at this year’s Golden Globes. And finally, we take a look at some startling video of a high-flying collision at Seattle’s Space Needle.
