John Stanton helped shape the wireless industry as we know it, first as vice chairman at McCaw Cellular and then co-founder of Western Wireless. He later went on to create VoiceStream Wireless, the predecessor of the modern day T-Mobile.
Given that impressive lineage, we’re thrilled to announce that Stanton — who also sits on the boards of Microsoft, Costco and Columbia Sportswear — will join us on Feb. 12th at GeekWire Startup Day.
Stanton will participate in a fireside chat with GeekWire chairman and PicMonkey CEO Jonathan Sposato, offering tips, lessons and a few war stories for navigating the perilous and oftentimes rocky entrepreneurial path.
It will most certainly be an insightful discussion about building businesses, and what it takes to succeed in a fast-moving and ever-changing climate.
