It’s a huge day for U.S. Soccer fans. I woke up extra early, anticipating the big World Cup match today at 3 p.m. against our long-time nemesis Ghana. And I’ll plan on being at the local pub extra early sporting my USA scarf and jersey.

What could be better than that?

Well, how about watching the game alongside Seattle Sounders captain and former U.S. Men’s National Team player Brad Evans? (I am still bummed he didn’t make the final cut).

Anyway, four lucky fans will get the chance to watch the match today with Evans — courtesy of ride-sharing service Uber.

Evans most certainly would have rather been in Brazil, helping the national team advance in the Group of Death. But now he can hang out with you.

To participate, fans must go to the special promotions area and enter the code UBERCUPSEA when they log-in to the Android or iPhone app today at noon.

Evans won’t ride in the car, but the fans will get to hang with him at a soccer pub in Tacoma.

Fresh off a huge $1.2 billion funding round, Uber is known for creative PR stunts in Seattle. You may recall its partnership last year with Cheezburger to deliver kittens to your doorstep. Or its effort to deliver ice cream

Today’s promotion comes on a big day for Uber, Lyft and other ride sharing companies, with the City of Seattle expected to impose new rules that dictate how the service can operate here.

Meanwhile, how big of a deal is this game in Ghana?

The match airs at 10 p.m. in Accra, and the country bought an extra 50 Megawatts of power from neighboring Ivory Coast in order to accommodate the planned surge in electricity.

And, just in case you were wondering, Washington state is the No. 1 state in the country for soccer nuts, according to this chart from Estately which measures things such as soccer pubs, youth soccer clubs and attendance at Major League Soccer.
