T-Mobile will announce its “Un-carrier 8.0” initiative on Tuesday morning, the latest stage in the Bellevue-based wireless company’s push to shake up the industry.
“This one is so big we had to keep it a surprise,” the company says in invites to the media.
The company will make the announcement via live webcast at 10:30 a.m. Eastern/7:30 a.m. Pacific, featuring T-Mobile CEO John Legere talking with David Pogue of Yahoo, the former New York Times columnist.
T-Mobile has been steadily adding customers as a result of its Un-carrier moves, including shifting customers away from the long-term contracts that have defined the wireless industry, offering early upgrades, free international data roaming, and paying early termination fees for people who switch.
The latest Un-carrier moves were unlimited data for music streaming and Wi-Fi calling.
