Bill G. and his seven favorite books from 2013.

One GeekWire reader is about to receive a nice post-Christmas gift — and he’s probably going to become a little bit smarter in the process.

Congratulations to Jason Nickolay, the winner of our Bill Gates Book Contest. Nickolay, a native of Elko, Minn., correctly answered all seven questions about Bill Gates and will receive BillG’s seven favorite books from 2013.

Nickolay manages an auto parts website and is certainly a geek, sharing a love for gadgets and classic video games. He calls Bill Gates his “hero,” and told us that he’ll spend down time in his fish house reading the new books.

“He is a pioneer in the tech field,” Nickolay said of Gates. “I look at so many marvels of technology today and they all, in some form or another, are because of him. He changed the landscape of society and how the world operates. I think that’s incredible.”

We had many submissions that correctly answered each of the questions. Here are the answers, which were all included in past GeekWire stores:

Name of the Mexican resort that Gates plans to purchase: Four Seasons Punta Mita

What is Gates’ favorite meal at Dick’s Drive-In? (Be specific.): Dick’s Deluxe and Shake

What is Gates’ favorite educational course of all time?: Big History

How much in salary did Gates request on his 1974 resume?: $15,000

Which classic PC command did Gates admit was a mistake?: Ctrl-Alt-Delete

Which brand of candy did Gates write about in October 2012?: Unreal
