fuelband

The iPhone 5C isn’t the only new gadget available in an array of colors.

Nike just unveiled its second-generation Nike+ Fuelband, dubbed the Fuelband SE. The new fitness trackers, which record your steps and award “Fuel” points based on activity level, now come with red, pink or yellow accents.

You can now track sleep, matching a feature offered by competitors including Fitbit and Jawbone. The wristband has been updated with Bluetooth 4.0 for easier connection to a smartphone. Fuelband SE is also more waterproof than the first version. Other than that, there aren’t many big upgrades or changes to the first version of Fuelband, which debuted last year

Reporting from the event, CNet notes that the new Nike+ system will also make it more difficult to cheat the system by, for example, racking up points punching the air.

Unfortunately for Android users, Nike still does not have an accompanying Fuelband app on the Play Store. You’ll still have to access your data and Fuel points via the web.

The Fuelband SE will be available Nov. 6 for $149, the same price as the original Fuelband.
