Can you make a game out of spinning tunes in virtual “rooms” on sites like Turntable.fm? Ali Daniali thinks so. The Seattle entrepreneur and founder of BigShot DJ (you may have seen him spinning tunes at The Startup Conference last month in Seattle) plans to launch his service at the SXSW interactive conference on March 14th at the LiveTurntable.fm DJ battle.

BigShot DJ brings a layer of gamification to the practice of spinning tunes online. Players earn points for winning online battles on sites such as Turntable.fm and Plug.dj — possibly winning spots in real life DJ battles.

“Our goal is to see BigShot DJ players actually discovered, promoted and elevated into the next stage of their professional DJ careers,” said BigShot’s Daniali.
