Investor Ready Workshop with Clarence Bethea
A five-hour, hands-on workshop in Portland on the mechanics of raising money, led by Clarence Bethea, who raised more than $30 million as a founder and has since evaluated hundreds of startups from the investor side. The premise is that fundraising turns less on deck design than on how a founder handles the room.
The session covers:
- Building a pitch that lands
- How investors actually evaluate founders
- Communicating under pressure
- Handling tough questions and feedback
- The psychology of fundraising
The format runs to real-world examples, exercises and direct feedback rather than lecture. Registration includes the workshop, dinner and access to Bethea’s “What VCs Won’t Say” course. Capacity is 50 seats; tickets are $34.
