— Seattle HR executive Britt Provost departed health benefits platform Accolade and joined marketing software company Siteimprove as its first chief human resources officer.

Provost was most recently EVP of people and culture at Accolade. She previously led HR teams at Avanade, Promethean and Apptio.

“In this new role, I hope to not only further a culture of inclusivity in which our employees can grow and thrive but serve as a model for other employers as well,” said Provost.

Founded in 2003, Siteimprove is a Danish company with its U.S. headquarters in Minneapolis, Minn. The company has more than 550 employees worldwide, including a small office in Seattle. Provost will continue to be based in the Seattle area.

— Wastewater treatment tech company Membrion announced Global Water Advisors CEO Joe Zuback joined its advisory board. He is the former CTO at Evoqua Water Technologies, previously known as Siemens Water Technologies.

Membrion spun out from the University of Washington in 2015. The Seattle startup won top prize at the 2017 UW Business Plan Competition; participated in GeekWire’s 2019 Elevator Pitch competition; and raised $3 million last year.

— Seattle and Portland, Ore.-based executive search firm Herd Freed Hartz promoted Karen Bertiger, Ryan Biancofiori and Chris Blais to partners.
