The tech industry has a real struggle when it comes to attracting diverse talent, and Ada Developers Academy is doing something about that. The non-profit offers an intensive, tuition-free coding school for women and gender diverse people interested in starting a career in tech — and the school is looking for a new instructor to join its ranks.
The instructor will partner with a co-instructor to lead a cohort of Ada students as they go from zero technical backgrounds to budding programmers ready for their first in-workplace technical internships. The teacher must also be able to create a positive and collaborative working environment for students.
On the day-to-day, the instructor will be responsible for leading classes, giving interactive lectures and conducting hands-on programming exercises in the classroom. They will also act as a project manager and guide group work projects.
