The GeekWire Summit — our biggest event of the year — is coming up Oct. 1-3 in Seattle, and we’ve got an amazing lineup in store.

To kick things off, we’re announcing the first wave of speakers today, including Dennis Muilenburg, the CEO of The Boeing Company.

Also joining us for fireside chats: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation CEO Sue Desmond-Hellmann, who is pushing the non-profit to new heights in areas such as global health and education, and Ring CEO Jamie Siminoff, who after getting turned down on Shark Tank built an innovative home security tech business that was acquired by Amazon for a reported purchase price of more than $1 billion.

Early-bird tickets are now on sale for the GeekWire Summit, so go here to purchase yours.

In addition to the awesome action on the main-stage, for the first time we’ll introduce a second stage focused entirely on the emerging world of connected devices and sensors, showing how the Internet of Things is transforming everything from retail to transportation to agriculture.

We’re also excited to bring back to the stage our popular venture capital panel, as well as a new startup pitch competition called The Elevator Pitch. (Go here to see past episodes of this new GeekWire video series). Bloomberg TV also will be back, serving as our broadcast media partner.

Things move fast in the technology world, and the Summit is designed to provide an overview of what’s ahead, tackling topics that range from the ethics of AI to the future of transportation to cybersecurity to health tech. More than 900 top technical, business, government and non-profit leaders attend, and we hope you’ll join us for inspiration, entertainment and the chance to see live journalism unfold on stage.

We’ve got a few other surprise speakers in the mix, so don’t snooze. Get your early-bird tickets here before prices go up next month.

A big thanks to Bank of America, our presenting sponsor of the Summit.

Also, thanks to gold sponsors: Amazon, Davis Wright Tremaine, Living Computers Museum + Labs, Madrona Venture Group, Microsoft, OfferUp, Smartsheet, WSGR, Wave Business, and International Coach Federation.
