Got a great entrepreneurial idea? Want to tell the world about it?

GeekWire is excited to bring back The Elevator Pitch, a fun video series in which entrepreneurs from around the Pacific Northwest get the opportunity to pitch their business concepts in the 42 seconds it takes to reach the top of Seattle’s iconic Space Needle.

Once the ride to the top is completed, each startup founder will enter The Glasshouse, where they’ll continue their pitch and answer questions from top angel investors, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.

The end goal? Deliver the perfect pitch, wow the judges and win one of the most creative and fun entrepreneurial competitions this side of the Mississippi.

Think you’ve got what it takes? Email me at john@geekwire.com with the subject line I Want to be on The Elevator Pitch. Be sure to include the following information:

  • Company
  • Names of founder(s)
  • Pitch person (CEO or founders only)
  • Founding date
  • Company web site
  • Number of employees
  • Your one sentence business pitch
  • Why you’ve got what it takes to win The Elevator Pitch
  • Any video clips of you talking about your business (Not required)

We’re selecting just 27 entrepreneurs to participate in the 2018 Elevator Pitch competition, so it’s time to dust off those pitching skills and show the world what you’ve got.

Our first episodes of The Elevator Pitch will be filmed on the morning of Sunday, March 4. If you are selected, you’ll need to join the filming session that morning.

Our illustrious judging panel will select a winner from each episode, with the GeekWire community choosing finalists who will get the opportunity to pitch live on stage in front of more than 800 tech and business leaders at the GeekWire Summit on Oct. 1-3, 2018.

We’re filming nine episodes of The Elevator Pitch, with episodes appear on GeekWire leading up to the Summit.

We started The Elevator Pitch in 2012, and we’re thrilled to bring it back in a new-and-improved format. A big thanks to Smartsheet, the exclusive sponsor of the 2018 Elevator Pitch competition.
