LAS VEGAS — Alexa was the buzz of CES this year, with exhibitors showing integrations of Amazon’s voice-enabled virtual assistant into everything from refrigerators and robots to lighting systems and vehicles.

Before leaving the show, we got a chance to check out Alexa at the Ford booth and in a 2017 Ford C-Max Hybrid, including Alexa’s in-car integration and an example of using Alexa to check and control the car remotely. Watch the video above to get a sense for what the integration will be like as it rolls out later this year.

Also at the show, we asked Ford CEO Mark Fields about the Amazon partnership. He said the automaker remains open to working with other tech companies but noted that the collaboration between the Amazon and Ford teams is very strong. “There’s a nice confluence of our approach to the business, which is making sure there’s a great customer experience through voice,” Fields said. “I think we’re just getting started.”
