If you want to get out of town, a seaplane ride may be the quickest and easiest way to leave behind the bustle of Seattle’s roadways. Uber wants to send you and a friend away this weekend, for just $50 for the two of you, in a promotion celebrating the ride-hailing company’s five years in Seattle.
The first-ever seaplane getaway is part of a partnership with Kenmore Air and Semiahmoo Golf and Spa Resort, which is located in Blaine, Wa., on a spit of land just across from the mainland U.S. below the Canadian border.
Uber is offering the deal to five winners, along with their plus ones.
For a chance to win, you have to select the “fly” option from the Uber app starting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. If you’re lucky enough to land a spot on the plane, an UberSUV will take you and your guest to Kenmore Air’s Lake Union base for a 2 p.m. check-in on Friday.
Winners will take off at 2:30 p.m., landing at the resort for a sparkling wine reception on the beach before checking in for the weekend. Saturday night, guests will get a private dining experience prepared by Semiahmoo’s executive chef Bruno Feldeisen.
Sunday’s departure time back to Seattle is 10:30 a.m. Uber says you have to be 21 to enter.
It’s not the first promotion involving air travel for Uber. In May, the company ran a Memorial Day weekend deal that offered users a chance to get flown from Boston to Nantucket.
