A new sports and entertainment venue set to open this spring in Las Vegas will be officially named T-Mobile Arena, the company announced on Thursday.

The 20,000-seat arena, to be located just off the city’s famed Strip, is scheduled to open in April and is being billed by the Bellevue, Wash.-based company as the premiere destination for live events in a city that hosts no shortage of them. T-Mobile’s joint-venture partners on the project are AEG and MGM Resorts International.

“We’re going to light up Las Vegas in magenta and give everyone who visits T-Mobile Arena a chance to experience what it means to be Un-carrier!” T-Mobile chief operating officer Mike Sievert said in a news release. “T-Mobile Arena will have the biggest shows in a town known for big shows and T-Mobile customers will always be treated like VIPs with priority access and exclusive benefits.”

According to T-Mobile, its customers will experience a variety of unique benefits when they visit the arena, such as fast-track VIP venue entrance, exclusive access to event tickets and premium VIP experiences, pre-sales and seat upgrade opportunities.

The venue will host events ranging from concerts to boxing matches to bull riding events.
