Pokémon Go is continuing to take the world by storm, and one transportation company is looking to join the fun.

Lyft just started promoting a special 20 percent discount for Pokémon Go hunters, dubbing the promotion the “Ride to Catch ‘Em All.”

But you better act fast if you want in on this promotion. The offer is only valid from 12 a.m on July 18 to 11:59 p.m. on July 24, and there’s a limited quantity available. Lyft says the deal is valid for one ride to any PokeStop in Seattle.

One of the cool things about Pokémon Go in our sedentary culture is that the game is actually getting people moving, walking to destinations in order to capture Pokemon. (See this hilarious headline in Gizmodo: Sore Legs Become Pandemic As Pokémon Go Players Accidentally Get Exercise).

The game’s tagline in promotional materials is: Get up and Go!

In that regard, a Lyft ride kind of feels like cheating. But it’s probably better than the personal chauffeurs that have popped up to drive game players around different cities to hunt Pokémon.

But, even so, the game is pushing people to explore different parts of the city, and as GeekWire reporter David Schwartz recently experienced, forming teams to track down the elusive characters.

Shortly after its release earlier this month in the U.S., “Pokémon Go” became iTunes top free game. The app allows users to “capture” Pokémon in the physical world and battle as part of one of three teams.
