The geekiest holiday party of the year is just around the corner. The GeekWire Gala is coming up on Wednesday, Dec. 2, taking place once again at the spectacularly festive Museum of History & Industry in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.
Tickets are going fast for this holiday bash, and we’re once again expecting a sell out. Go here to purchase individual or group tickets, or check out the widget below.
We’ve got a lot of fun in store for this spectacular evening, including recognition of GeekWire’s Newsmakers of the Year and the unveiling of the giant cocktail napkins from the Seattle 10 companies.
This is not a seated dinner, and there’s no formal program other than short remarks to toast the Seattle tech community. A dance party also has been known to break out on the museum floor, so make sure you join the fun.
For those who don’t like to Samba or Swing, the museum exhibits will be open to all Gala attendees, so take in some history before your company makes some of its own.
In terms of dress code, you have the rare license to don cocktail attire, or whatever you want for that matter. Tuxedos? Sure. Geeky T-shirts? Yep. Or, just get in the spirit and come dressed as Frosty, one of Santa’s little elves or your favorite Star Wars character from the ice planet Hoth. The photo booth, presented by Moz, will offer plenty of opportunities to showcase your sweet duds.
A big thanks to Wells Fargo — our title sponsor of this year’s Gala. Also, a thanks to MOHAI, which is presenting this year’s class of the Seattle 10. And thanks to gold sponsors Tune, Avalara, UPS, Moz, Perkins Coie, Ivy Softworks, IBM and Salesforce.
We hope you’ll join us on Dec. 2.
