Forget the Patriots — the real winner of Super Bowl XLIX was Missy Elliott.

In a surprise cameo, the 43-year-old veteran rapper joined Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz as the Super Bowl halftime performers on Sunday and sang some of her classic hits like “Work It,” and “Lose Control.”

missyelliott121If Spotify’s data is telling of success, Elliott knocked it out of the park at the Super Bowl. The music streaming service said Elliott’s streams saw a 676 percent increase after the performance, while Katy Perry only saw a 85 percent increase.

More specifically, “Lose Control” saw a ridiculous 1,396 percent increase in streams, “Get ur Freak On” spiked by 922 percent, while “Work It” saw a 896 percent increase.

Meanwhile, on iTunes, Elliott had three of the top 12 songs as of Monday morning. “Work It” was No. 4; “Get ur Freak On” was No. 6; and “Lose Control” was No. 12. Elliott, who rose to fame in the late 90s/early 2000s, also had the top three spots on iTunes’ hip-hop list.

Welcome back to the conversation, Missy.
