You can call him the Doggfather of the legal cannabis business — Snoop Dogg announced his new lifestyle media site called Merry Jane at TechCrunch Disrupt this week.

The site is currently in beta with a few testers. Apparently, Snoop and his business partner Ted Chung are inviting 420 users per day until its launch in October, as reported here by the Verge. Merry Jane will “be the encyclopedia of the cannabis world,” and feature info about pot, including editorial, videos and more, Snoop told the crowd, according to TechCrunch.

Content will run the gamut from the lighthearted, a cooking show that gives tips and tricks on making edibles, to “Deflowered,” a series that looks at people’s first time doing something (aka Marines trying flower for the first time in the video below), to celeb interviews, with Seth Rogen and Miley Cyrus reportedly to appear.

It will also be a curated database of cannabis shops, with a backend where stores can eventually upload their inventory, and tools that online users can access to help them find strains to suit their purposes. Sounds like Merry Jane is getting into Leafly territory here.

“There are so many people in the closet, and we are giving them an opportunity to come out of the closet and just admit they like to smoke,” Snoop Dogg told TechCrunch. “I’m a smoker, my name is Snoop Dogg, and I’m a stoner.”
