luxe312Smartphone-equipped Seattleites that dislike parking now have another option to hail an on-demand valet service.

Luxe, a San Francisco-based startup that raised $20 million in March, today officially launched in Seattle, offering up a way for people to hail a valet driver who will pick up your car, park it in a nearby lot, and return it to you at any location within 15 minutes of a request.

Luxe charges $5 per hour, with a maximum of $15 per day. Overnight parking is an extra $10. The service is currently available in South Lake Union, Belltown, Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square and Downtown from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

Luxe is similar to Zirx, another on-demand valet startup that launched in Seattle this past September and raised a $30 million round in March.

Both companies have a comprehensive insurance policy for your vehicle itself and the agent, who is screened for driving records and background checks. They also pay parking garage operators to rent space to store vehicles, and offer extra services like oil changes, car washes, and gas fill-ups.

However, the startups differ a bit with pricing — Zirx charges an all-day $15 fee, while Luxe charges by the hour.

Seattle marks Luxe’s fourth market, as the company was already operating in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
