EchotopAmazon’s smart assistant is getting to know your neighborhood. Amazon has added Yelp results to Alexa’s answers so you can now ask your Echo about local restaurants and stores.

Alexa isn’t limited to questions like “Where’s a good Thai restaurant near here?” She can also use Yelp data to answer questions like “What are the hours for a nearby pharmacy?” Users can get more details inside the Alexa app after they make their request, including phone numbers, star ratings and links to written Yelp reviews.

To set up the new local results, add an address in the settings of the Alexa app.

Alexa has been slowly building her repertoire since the Echo’s debut last year, including the ability to turn on you lights, play Pandora stations and add events to your calendar.

Alexa isn’t the only smart assistant to use Yelp for search results; Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana also show Yelp information for certain voice queries. Google, however, uses its own restaurant reviews for search results, including those started through a voice command.
