A Mars landing in the not-so-distant future is a real possibility, thanks to the space race between NASA and private ventures. But a manned mission to the Red Planet comes with a whole host of unprecedented challenges. To explore those challenges, the MIT Enterprise Forum Northwest is hosting a special event at Impact Hub Seattle.
Challenges in Getting to Mars and Back will explore technological hurdles, medical risks, and other complications related to landing men and women on Mars.
Experts from NASA, Planetary Resources, and GeekWire Aerospace and Science Editor Alan Boyle are scheduled to speak at the event, which takes place Wednesday Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m.
