Check out this awesome Halloween prank, courtesy of the folks at real estate search site Trulia. In celebration of the spookiest day of the year, Trulia outfitted a 2,300 square-foot abode with all sorts of scary contraptions — everything from a ghost grandma hidden in a bed to a living doll to a sewing machine the operates on its own.

halloween77Sixteen hidden cameras capture the action as unsuspecting home shoppers tour the home — many of whom get scared out of their wits.

The prank is part of a big Halloween promotion by Trulia, which is in the process of being acquired by Zillow for $3.5 billion. In addition to the video, Trulia released what it called a “Housing Scare Report” which includes statistics such as 51 percent of Americans would buy a home near a cemetery if it met their other needs.

The company also released interactive maps that allow folks to peruse homes based on proximity to ghost sightings, vampire bites and zombie infestations.

Fun stuff. Enjoy!
