Actor-turned-Internet powerhouse George Takei visited Seattle this fall to film an episode of his web series, “Takei’s Take,” exploring various aspects of the city’s tech community — and describing Seattle as “America’s Outpost of Innovation.”

The segment includes a conversation with GeekWire columnist Monica Guzman and a glimpse inside the launch of the app Reveal, from the company formerly known as LikeBright. And yes, of course, he tries his hand at catching fish at Pike Place Market.

From the brief clips at the beginning, it looks like Takei also spoke with famed glass sculptor Dale Chihuly, visited the staff of Nathan Myhrvold’s Modernist Cuisine, checked out the live stage at KEXP and danced with the Microsoft Cube, although those portions apparently didn’t make the final cut for the rest of the video.
