xboxgameofthronesMiss the highly-anticipated “Game of Thrones” Season 4 premiere on Sunday? Don’t worry — Microsoft has you covered.

Well, if you own an Xbox, that is. The Redmond tech giant announced that starting today, the Season 4 premiere will be available this week to Xbox Live members using either the Xbox 360 or Xbox One, thanks to a partnership with HBO.

You don’t need the $59/year Xbox Live Gold membership, nor do you have to be an HBO subscriber to watch the show, which is available through April 14. The Xbox home screen has been updated today with “Game of Thrones” goodies, which include the full episode, behind-the-scenes videos and other content.

Cable customers will also be able to watch the episode on their provider’s on-demand channel this week, even if they aren’t an HBO subscriber.

The news will be sure to please many “Game of Thrones” fans, as the Season 4 premiere was watched by 6.6 million viewers and was the most-pirated TV episode of all time. Though it was also streamed via the HBO GO app — which is not available on the Xbox One or Amazon Fire TV yet — many people complained of connection problems when trying to stream the premiere on Sunday night.
