Seattle hospitals have geared up to treat the disease, local developers and doctors teamed up to create an interactive treatment simulation, and Vulcan organized a volunteer event to program phones to send to the affected region.

Now, the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation is looking to get even more involved by hiring a temporary Health Innovation Officer. The role will involve working closely with the full Ebola Program team and reporting directly to the program’s Director of Innovation.

Urbanspoon is now looking for a new Senior Rails Engineer to help with the site’s progress. The engineer will work closely with the company’s Product, Design, and UX teams to implement new features. Candidates with experience in Rails and a CS bachelors degree are encouraged to apply.

Urbanspoon isn’t the only food-centered startup hiring in Seattle. New food delivery service Peach is looking for a Restaurant Manger to join its team. The lunch delivery service needs a charismatic, food-loving candidate to sign restaurants, work with vendors to create specific meals, and upload information and photos of meals to the Peach systems.

Strong involvement in the local restaurant network is preferred and a bachelors degree is required.
