wemakeWell, it looks like Seattle is going to be getting a cool short film about its tech community.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the “We Make Seattle” video project is going forward. The idea behind the video is to showcase the very best of Seattle’s tech community, promoting the makers, builders and innovators who’ve helped shape the city over the years.

Oftentimes, Seattle is forgotten as a tech hotbed, despite the fact that multi-billion dollar companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Expedia, Tableau and Zillow are based here.

“This short film is a celebration of what makes Seattle the best place in the world for entrepreneurs and creatives to live. It tells the story of the vibrant and supportive community we have for starting companies, betting on dreams, and chasing big ideas,” according to a description on Kickstarter.

The film makers, including Scott Berkun, Bryan Zug and Dan McComb, passed their $28,000 goal earlier today. And there are still four days to go.

Here’s a look at the Kickstarter video. We’re certainly looking forward to the next chapter in this project.
