Fisher Interactive Network has launched a new daily deal Web site under the name SeattleNow.com, an offering that the company said is designed to save shoppers money by combining local daily deals, local coupon offers and links to popular retailers in one place.

Planned deals include discounts at restaurants, spas, getaways and groceries. It is starting with a half dozen deals, including personalized stationery from Minnie & Emma.

“It’s easy to get lost searching for deals online and wondering if whatever you landed on is really as good as it sounds,” said Jenny Kuglin, General Manager of content and social media for Fisher Interactive.  “By putting our trusted partners’ deals in one place, we want to make it easier for people to find something they can really use.”

The company is working with edeals.com to showcase additional discounts from retailers including Nordstrom, Amazon, Sears and Target. The company said it marks the most recent initiative in Fisher’s “broadcast-to-broadband strategy,”  which the company describes as an effort to create “compelling digital content that can be distributed across multiple platforms.”

Fisher Interactive is the online arm of Fisher Communications, which operates Seattle’s KOMO brand and other TV and radio stations.
