Jeff Lanctot

Fresh off a name change and a $3 million venture round, Seattle startup AdXpose has named former Razorfish chief strategy officer Jeff Lanctot to its board.

“AdXpose is changing the way online media is bought and sold,” said Lanctot.  “The digital media world has evolved rapidly and at the same time continues to be opaque and challenging for agencies.  AdXpose transparency and efficient media valuation are straightforward benefits agencies are adopting to increase their value to their clients.”

AdXpose is an ad verification and optimization technology which helps online advertisers make sure that their ad dollars are being spent wisely. Among other things, the technology helps clients determine if their advertisements are showing up in the appropriate spots. It also determines whether ad impressions are being wasted.

Lanctot is the former managing director for Microsoft’s Advertiser and Publisher Solutions Group.

AdXpose, led by CEO Kirby Winfield, is backed by Ignition Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. It was formerly known as Mpire.
