coding11If you want a nice-paying job that’s in high demand, the tech industry is probably your best bet.

Glassdoor is out with its list of the top-25 highest-paying jobs in demand and a majority (14) of them are tech-related.

The highest-paying job in demand is a physician, which reels in an average annual base salary of $212,270, followed by pharmacy manager ($131,099) and software architect ($130,891).

The job with the most demand is software engineer at No. 23 with a base salary of $96,392 and a staggering 99,055 openings — more than double that of the next highest-paid in-demand job.

Other tech jobs in the top 25 include software development manager at No. 4; solutions architect at No. 6; analytics manager at No. 8; and IT manager at No. 9.

Glassdoor makes sure to note that “while these jobs pay handsomely, most also require a high level of experience, skills and education to get hired.”

Next to tech, healthcare was the other top industry with most jobs on the list at four. Here’s Glassdoor’s full methodology:

For a job title to be considered for Glassdoor’s Highest Paying Jobs In Demand report, job titles must receive at least 75 salary reports shared by U.S.-based employees over the past year (1/26/14 – 1/25/15). Of the job titles that meet the salary criteria, they must also be in the top 50th percentile for number of job openings per job title to qualify for this report. Job openings represents active job listings and/or jobs posted within the last three months, as of 2/2/15. This report takes into account job title normalization that groups similar job titles.

Glassdoor, co-founded by former Zillow and Expedia CEO Rich Barton, last month announced $70 million in fresh funding in a round led by Google Capital and Tiger Global, bringing total capital raised in the Mill Valley, Calf.-based company to $160 million. Glassdoor also compiles other job-related lists, like “Best Places to Work,” and “Highest-Rated CEOs.”

The company last month posted its “top 25 jobs of 2015.” There are several positions that made both the list for “highest-paying jobs in demand,” as well as the “top 25 jobs of 2015,” which is not surprising given that the “top jobs” list took into account similar metrics like number of open job listings in the past three months and average annual base salary.
