pingpong449Ready for some March Madness?

We are. But we’re not talking about basketball here, sports fans. Nope.

It’s that time of year when we host the annual GeekWire Anniversary Bash, highlighted by some of the best ping pong and foosball action you’ll see this side of the Mississippi.

After careful deliberation by the GeekWire Selection Committee, the brackets are now set for the three tournaments: foosball, intermediate ping pong and expert ping pong. (Check out the brackets below to see the matchups). Games in each of the tournaments will begin promptly at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 26th at the Showbox Sodo in Seattle, so if you’re in the field make sure to check-in at 3:30 p.m.

The official ping pong and foosball tournaments are sold out, but we still have a limited number of tickets remaining for the Anniversary Bash, which will feature a fun lineup of activities for those not interested in showing off their wicked serves or backhand slices.

Back by popular demand, we’ll be turning guests loose for the super fun Double Down Interactive Ping Pong Ball scavenger hunt and we’ll once again award the “spirit prize” to the group that best flies its geek flag during the party. Moz will host the photo booth, while eBay will host the casual and warm-up ping pong area.

Did I mention there will be beer pong, too? (Yes, time to polish those skills WSU grads, thanks to sponsor Whitepages).

We’ll be giving out tons of prizes and schwag, so you won’t leave empty handed.

Make sure to grab tickets this week before we sell out. Come out and support your co-workers, or just have a drink with us to celebrate everything happening in the Seattle tech ecosystem.

We’ve got more than 150 people competing in the tournaments alone, and another 600 expected to attend the party, so make sure to arrive early. We’ve also got some great prizes in store for the winners of the ping pong tournaments, with each earning an Apple Watch, courtesy of sponsor Fuel Talent. The winning foosball team will walk away with a $500 Best Buy gift card, as well as GoPro Hero 4 Silver Prize Pack, thanks to foosball sponsor Best Buy.

A big thanks to presenting sponsor CenturyLink — which is also hosting the conversation lounge in the upper bar area and the championship table — for helping to make this event possible. Also, thanks to our gold table sponsors: Shippable, EY, OfferUp, UPSConnect, QumuloBest Buy and EMC Isilon. Now, are you ready to have some fun?
