Good news for those that have been wanting to use their Xbox One controller for PC games.
Microsoft today released PC drivers for its Xbox One controller, giving gamers the ability play Windows-based games with the device. Any games and apps that supported the Xbox 360 controller will now work with the Xbox One controller.
You’ll simply need to download the PC driver for either the x86 or x64 copy of Windows and use a micro USB cable to connect the controller to your PC. Here are the download links:
Microsoft will also release the drivers as part of a Windows update “in the near future.”
On Wednesday, Microsoft began rolling out its June Xbox update, which includes a series of changes to both the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Perhaps most notable is the ability to use more than 180 apps like Netflix and ESPN without having to purchase a $59 Xbox Live Gold membership, which was previously required.
