Varia-Landingpage-TopCenterGraphic_T._SX1500.0_An Amazon Prime membership already has a huge number of benefits—probably more than any one person could actually use. But gamers just got a new reason to pay the $99/year on a Prime membership: 20 percent off pre-orders and new releases of video games.

The discount does have some restrictions. It applies only to physical copies shipped and sold by Amazon, doesn’t apply to console bundles, and the discount only shows up when going through checkout. And Amazon only counts video games released in the past two weeks to be “new releases.”

But if you’re on the cutting edge of gaming, this is a great deal. It even includes collector’s edition versions of the latest games.

The deal directly competes with Best Buy’s Gamers Club Unlocked program, which is a $30-per-year membership program giving users 20 percent off new video games (as in, not used) and extra Rewards Club points for buying and selling games and gaming hardware.

Check out Amazon’s FAQ for all the details. Of just head over to Amazon and get your pre-orders started right now.
