PNW Arts & Tech Symposium 2026
Third Place Technologies presents the second annual PNW Arts & Tech Symposium, widening its focus from community-building to the harder question of how a community of practice sustains itself. The programming is aimed at resourcing the working practices of individual tech artists and raising Seattle’s profile in the wider art world.
The event runs across two locations. The symposium itself is at Cornish College of the Arts’ 9th Ave Gallery, with presentations from practitioners, educators and organizers, hands-on workshops and short talks. A parallel series, 9e26 at xispa (325 Westlake Ave N), hosts community discussions on art, science, technology and society. Produced with John Boylan, 9e26: Ten Years Later marks a decade since 9 Evenings 2 and sixty years since the pioneering 1966 9 Evenings: Theatre & Engineering.
A tech-forward arts and tech exhibition at the 9th Ave Gallery is free and open to the public for a week following the symposium. The 2026 organizing committee is Shelly Farnham, Genevieve Tremblay, Jeff Brice, Jacob Fennell and Joseph Gray.
Registration is $40, waived for anyone contributing a talk or workshop. Daily start and end times had not been published at the time of listing.
