Shein, the fast-fashion e-commerce retailer that recently announced plans to open an office in Bellevue, Wash., is hosting a pop-up experience in Seattle next week.

The event will take place April 26-29 at the O’Shea Building at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Pine Street in downtown Seattle. Shein plans to offer a variety of merchandise for women and men, including clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories.

An online promotion for the pop-up promises “1,000+ spring styles” and fashions from Shein collections including Essnce, EZwear, Sxy, Glowmode and more.

New and existing Shein Club members will be given priority access for the event. Shein says its pop-ups around the world last year attracted “thousands of fashion enthusiasts at each location.”

The Singapore-based company has grown to become one of the leading online destinations for trendy, low-priced fashion items favored by young shoppers. And its move to the Seattle area is seen as a planting of its e-commerce flag in Amazon’s backyard.

Andy Huang, a former senior manager at Amazon, is Shein’s Bellevue-based head of U.S. fulfillment and logistics.

The new office in Bellevue’s Key Tower will serve as a U.S. fulfillment and logistics hub for Shein, which has more than 1,500 corporate and warehouse employees in Los Angeles, San Diego, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and elsewhere. Shein expects to employ more than 50 people in the 10,000-square-foot space by the end of 2024.

TikTok parent ByteDance — which is also competing with Amazon for online shoppers — has also grabbed more space in the same tower, occupying roughly a third of the building, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The Shein Seattle pop-up will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and feature new merchandise each day. Customers will receive in-store gifts with qualifying purchases.
