If you use video games to relax or relieve stress, a new collaboration between Microsoft Xbox and Calm, a leading sleep and meditation app, is looking to extend those benefits.

Starting today, users of Calm Premium will have access to video game-themed soundscapes from two popular titles.

As Microsoft put it in a blog post, users will be able to “immerse themselves and enjoy the meditative sounds of whirling waves and chattering birds from the ocean expanse of ‘Sea of Thieves’ and the ambient alien sounds of Zeta Halo from ‘Halo Infinite.'”

If you’re unfamiliar with either game or how those soundscapes might be relaxing, there are samples on YouTube here and here.

Microsoft is making the soundscapes available as an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perk, where players will receive three months of Calm Premium for free, and then 50% off their first year subscription, when they sign up. Calm also offers a 7-day free trial to Calm Premium subscription content.

A Calm Premium subscription usually runs $69.99 per year, or $399.99 for a lifetime subscription.

Microsoft said the partnership with Calm is “part of Xbox’s ongoing commitment to supporting players’ mental health and connecting them with resources to support their well-being.”
