The GeekWire Awards return on May 20. But before we crown the best innovators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders in the Pacific Northwest, we could use a little help.

This year at the virtual awards ceremony, we will once again name winners in long-running categories such as Startup of the Year; Next Tech Titan; and Innovation of the Year.

But we’ve added two exciting new awards, and we are bringing back a third for its second year. Take a look at what’s new below, and make sure to nominate your favorites today here. Community nominations are open through April 2.

  • Workplace of the Year, presented by JLL: This year’s winner will display the attributes of an exceptional workplace environment, represented by an unmatched company culture, a dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion, and employees whose happiness levels radiate no matter where they are located.
  • UX Design of the Year, presented by Blink UX: A well-designed user experience is no longer a nice-to-have — it’s a business requirement. This award goes to a team whose product’s user experience is meaningful, usable and delightful for its end users.
  • STEM Educator of the Year, presented by DreamBox Learning: Our next generation of technologists, entrepreneurs, and scientists will help solve some of the planet’s most pressing problems. To help set them on the right course, this award recognizes educators in the Pacific Northwest who are inspiring young minds to achieve more in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.

A big thanks to Wave Business, our longtime presenting partner on the GeekWire Awards.
