Microsoft’s headquarters.

Microsoft plans to buy a 725,000-square-foot office complex that is surrounded by the tech giant’s massive headquarters campus, according to a report from Puget Sound Business Journal.

Microsoft has been rumored as a potential buyer for the Daytona Laguna complex, which was put up for sale earlier this year. The four-building campus last traded hands two years ago when private equity firm Blackstone bought it for $204 million, according to King County property records.

We’ve reached out to Microsoft for comment on the transaction and will update this post if we hear back.

The potential purchase of the office complex comes as Microsoft prepares to undergo a major renovation of its headquarters campus. Microsoft plans to knock down a dozen buildings part of its original campus and replace them with 18 new structures totaling 2.5 million square feet. The sweeping redevelopment project would make room for 8,000 additional workers.
