You’ve probably seen “Toy Story.” Now, you’ll want to see a different type of story about toys.

“Making Fun — The Story of Funko” is a documentary feature about the Everett, Wash.-based maker of pop culture products and collectibles and the fandom that surrounds the 20-year-old company. The movie is premiering on Netflix at midnight on May 23.

“Making Fun” premiered in Hollywood in January and in April it won the best documentary feature film award at the San Diego Film Awards.

The company’s most popular product is its Pop! figurines, featuring bobbleheaded likenesses of film and television characters, literary heroes and villains, athletes and more. Funko, which did $426.7 million in net sales in 2016, moved into a new headquarters north of Seattle last year and also went public.
