The GeekWire Summit is back with a fabulous lineup of activities and speakers, including the highly-anticipated VC panel, the finals of The Elevator Pitch startup competition and much more.

The 2018 GeekWire Summit is finally here. After months of planning, we’re thrilled that more than 800 business, tech, media and government leaders will join us for the annual conference, taking place in downtown Seattle on Oct. 1-3.

Now in its seventh year, the GeekWire Summit is one of the premier technology events in the country, exploring what’s next in the innovation economy and discussing big technological trends that will shape society, everything from artificial intelligence to cryptocurrency to the future of health care, entertainment and transportation.

Things will get rolling Monday, Oct. 1st at 6 p.m. with a must-attend welcome party for all Summit attendees at the wonderfully geeky Living Computers Museum + Labs in Seattle’s Sodo neighborhood. If you’ve not yet secured your spot for the GeekWire Summit, a limited number of tickets are available here.

Here’s everything you need to about this week’s big show.

Dates: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 1 – 3, with a Welcome Party at 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1 at Living Computers: Museum + Labs (2245 First Ave S, Seattle WA, 98134) and the main conference at the Sheraton Seattle (1400 6th Ave.) on Oct. 2-3.

Welcome Party at Living Computers: Museum + Labs: Meet Summit attendees, speakers, and other VIPs at this warm-up party hosted and sponsored by Living Computers Museum + Labs in SODO (2245 First Ave S, Seattle WA, 98134). The Welcome Party, at 6 p.m., is open to all GeekWire Summit attendees. Get your geek on, and check out what computers used to look like.

GeekWire Summit Location: The main conference on Oct. 2-3 will take place at the Sheraton Seattle, 1400 Sixth Avenue in downtown Seattle. Map here. GeekWire Summit attendees are also invited to attend a reception on Oct. 2nd from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Conference start time on Oct. 2nd: Registration, located on the second floor of the Sheraton, opens at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd, followed by a welcome and introduction at 8:50 a.m. Be sure to grab your coffee before our first session, The State of the Tech Industry.

Do I need to bring my printed tickets? No. If you’ve purchased tickets, just pick up your Summit pass at the 2nd floor registration booth at the Sheraton Seattle on Oct. 2nd or 3rd. Registration will open at 7:45 a.m. NOTE: Summit badges will not be available at the Oct. 1st Welcome Party at the Living Computers Museum.

Agenda: We’ve lined up two days of great content, featuring technology leaders from across the industry, including fireside chats with Redfin CEO, Glenn Kelman (10:55 a.m. on Oct. 2nd); Ring CEO, Jamie Siminoff (11:30 a.m. on Oct. 2nd); Uber Chief Legal Officer Tony West (4:15 p.m. on Oct. 2nd); eBay CEO Devin Wenig (9 a.m. on Oct. 3rd); Dreambox CEO Jessie Woolley-Wilson (9:30 a.m. on Oct. 3rd) Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime (10:45 a.m. on Oct. 3rd) and many more. Inside IoT Stage: A new addition to the GeekWire Summit, the Inside IoT stage will explore how connected devices are transforming everything from retail to agriculture to transportation. The IoT stage will take place on Oct. 2 in the Willow Room of the Seattle Sheraton, and feature speakers from Starbucks, Microsoft, Amazon, Control4 and many other leading companies. Health Tech Stage: Also new this year at the GeekWire Summit is the health tech stage, exploring how data science, cloud computing and artificial intelligence are revolutionizing how healthcare is delivered. The Health Tech stage, presented by Regence, will take place on Oct. 3 in the Willow Room of the Seattle Sheraton, and feature speakers from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Saykara, Arivale, Adaptive Biotechnologies and others. Check out the full agenda on the health tab on the event page here.

Finals of GeekWire’s Elevator Pitch: Over the past six months, 27 entrepreneurs competed in this unique challenge, presented by Smartsheet, pitching their concepts in the elevator at the world famous Space Needle or iconic Smith Tower. But only one will truly make it to the top. Now, eight finalists will present live onstage in front of the GeekWire Summit audience where they will have just 48 seconds for their pitch before our judges announce this season’s winner. Parking: Paid parking is available at garages in the vicinity. Parking at the Sheraton is valet-only and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are self-parking options nearby.
