Attention, all South King County geeks. We want you to hang out with us!
Members of the GeekWire team are reporting from Renton this week as part of our new “GeekWire on the Road” series in which we embed ourselves in emerging tech hubs throughout the Pacific Northwest. GeekWire’s Taylor Soper is already on the scene, taking an in-depth look at this industrial city on the shores of Lake Washington that’s best known for Boeing’s 737 assembly plant, with more stories on the way.
As part of this coverage, we’d like to invite our GeekWire readers — from South King County and beyond — to join us on Nov. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for a live taping of the GeekWire podcast. Go here to reserve your spot.
The show will take place in the Seattle Room of the Hyatt Regency at Southport, and the $5 admission price will be donated to charity.
Drinks and appetizers will be served, and we’ve got some cool prizes — courtesy of Seco Development, our underwriting partners on this series, — that attendees will have the chance to win.
Joining as our guest on the GeekWire podcast will be Wizards of the Coast president Chris Cocks. We can’t get much geekier than this, having an entertaining and fun conversation with the exec who is responsible for growing games such as Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons.
It should be a fun evening, and we very much look forward to seeing our GeekWire readers at the show.
