Seattle digital marketing firm Add3 today announced the acquisition of fellow Seattle marketing agency Point It.

Founded in 2003, Add3 specializes in search, social, and programmatic display advertising. Customers include Microsoft, Amazon, Costco, and others.

Point it started in 2002 and offers a comparable service to similar customers. The company’s 15 employees will join Add3 at its office in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, though three executives will depart, including Point It Founder and Chairman Jon Lisbin. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Add3 now has 52 employees.

“There were several reasons to join forces and for us the biggest was the chance to add 15 great people at once,” said Add3 CEO Paul Uhlir. “However it was more than an acqui-hire. Point It had been around since 2002, so we added their clients as well as some revenue to the profitable combined company.”

In 2013, Add3 acquired Amplify Interactive, a Portland-based search marketing agency.
