Winter might be coming with the return of “Game of Thrones” this Sunday, but fans of fantasy television are headed for a different kind of storm this fall judging by the look of the new “Stranger Things” trailer from Netflix.

The streaming service released the short teaser on Tuesday with a tagline that reads “1984 only gets stranger” as the characters Will, Dustin, Mike and Lucas ride their bikes toward the Indiana town of Hawkins — and some ominous clouds.

A new poster for the series, which returns on Oct. 27 (just in time for Halloween costume inspiration), also shows the boys parked on their bikes staring up at the monstrous sky overhead.

Netflixshared a description for what to expect from the new season: “It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”

Can’t wait to hear what series star Winona Ryder thinks about all that.
