Together, Ravenna and Education Brands say they will become “the premier provider of cloud-based software and payment solutions to K-12 private schools – from admissions, enrollment, school and student management software to solutions for online giving, tuition management, summer programs, alumni management, purchase cards, and more,” Mike Barros, CEO of Education Brands said in a blog post.

The two organizations did not disclose terms of the deal.

Ravenna said in the blog post that existing schools using its platform won’t see any significant changes in staffing and customer service contacts. Linda Haitani, Ravenna Solutions’ former CEO, will stay on in a leadership role at the company as general manager.

A group of Pacific Northwest investors, the Alliance of Angels, which led an $850,000 investment in Ravenna Solutions back in 2014, helped set up the deal.

Ravenna Solutions in 2012 teamed up with a group of Seattle private schools to make it easier for the schools to process applications. Since then, the company has grown to serve schools across the country.

Education Brands is a division of MB Parent Holdings, based in Knoxville, Tenn. and it has grown to work with more than 4,000 and 650,000 families by acquiring education technology companies like TADS, Diamond Mind, Senior Systems.
