Screwdriver. Pliers. Power drill. Get real. Homeowners know that the one tool you can’t live without is a hammer — MC Hammer?

If your walk-in closet doesn’t have enough baggy pants hanging in it, Trulia is apparently hoping to fix that as the online real estate company has teamed with the legendary hip-hop star for a new feature called “Hammerfy Your Home.”

The aim is to put a new worm (and Trulia’s name) in the ear of prospective first-time homeowners and existing homeowners looking to make a change. Trulia rightly reasons that the entire home search process can be a stressful affair, and suggests that if you’re overwhelmed, you should “peace out and take a dance break.”

Hammer, complete with backup singers, moves all around various houses and properties as he raps about different features that may appeal to buyers. New baby? Better schools? Bigger closet? Koi pond? You can’t touch his realtor skills.

The Trulia website will also let you Hammerfy your own home search by answering a series of questions that will generate a personalized video.

“MC Hammer is this iconic persona, especially for our demographic,” Paul Levine, president of Trulia, told Ad Age. He said the 54-year-old rapper typically resonates with home buyers in their 30s and 40s. “He brought a lot of his own ideas.”

Hammer, who rose to fame in the late 1980s and into the 90s, had his greatest hits with “U Can’t Touch This” and “2 Legit 2 Quit.”
