Holy copycats, Batman! A man was arrested Monday night in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood after throwing a batarang at pursuing officers following an altercation at a bar.

According to the Seattle Police Department’s Blotter blog, the 23-year-old suspect threatened a bouncer with a homemade spear, swinging what is described as a knife attached to a metal pole.

The man fled the scene at East Olive Way and East Denny Way and was chased by officers Benjamin Timbs and Walker Dickson, SPD reports. Officers witnessed the man throw something toward a police SUV.

After catching the suspect, officers located “a sharp, black Batman-style throwing star,” embedded in the front end of Seattle Police SUV. Photographs show the 6-inch object sticking out of the bumper by one of its pointed ends.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail for felony assault and additional weapons and obstruction charges are being sought by officers, SPD reports.
