One of our favorite traditions is the annual GeekWire Bash, where hundreds of people from the Seattle region’s tech community gather each year for a giant ping-pong tournament, foosball competition, networking, socializing, food, drink, and anything else we can squeeze into the event.

GeekWireBash-Final-300x250-v2This year, to celebrate GeekWire’s 5th anniversary, we’re taking it to a whole new level.

GeekWire is renting out the giant CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle — yep, one of the biggest venues in the city — for this year’s GeekWire Bash, on Thursday, March 24, presented by Point Inside. It’s shaping up to be one of the most epic events the tech community has ever seen. You won’t want to miss it.

We’re making good use of all that extra space. By popular demand, we’re adding a beginner’s ping-pong bracket to the traditional intermediate and expert brackets this year. Foosball will also be getting intermediate and expert brackets. And we’ll be filling out the rest of the venue with a ton of additional activities, including beer pong, video games, great food, and much more.

We’ll be sharing more details on this one-of-a-kind event in the weeks ahead, but for now, be sure to grab your tickets below. Early bird rates end Feb. 24.

The deadline for entering the ping-pong and foosball tournaments is March 1, and we encourage companies to hold internal competitions in advance to find the best players to send for the intermediate and expert brackets. Companies traditionally send large groups to cheer on their competitors, and the final rounds promise to be even more epic this year at the new venue. As in years past, we’ll be awarding a Spirit Prize to the most enthusiastic and wildly dressed group at the event.

A big thanks to GeekWire Bash presenting sponsor Point Inside; gold sponsors Hired, Flowroute, EY, Moz, and AOL; silver sponsors First Tech Federal Credit Union and Green House Data, and supporting sponsor Whitepages. And thanks to Storytie for creating this year’s GeekWire Bash logo.
