kindle app iosAmazon updated its Kindle for iOS app today, bringing with it some big changes for sharing quotes and books, along with an improved download system.

The beauty of digital books is that it should be easy to share electronic snippets easily. In the past, Amazon has allowed people to share quotes, but now it’s using the native sharing function in iOS to let users post quotes. That means you’ll be able to use any app you’ve installed, from Facebook or Whatsapp to your favorite email or note-taking app, to share quotes and save them for later.

The update also enabled parallel downloads, meaning you can download multiple ebooks at once. Users can now start up to three downloads at once, with other books waiting in the queue. So now you won’t have to decide between the steamy romance novel and the highly rated scifi novel as you’re boarding the plane.

The update also includes a minor interface change, simplifying the Audible player by removing some visual clutter.
