NumberCop founder Jan Volzke will join Whitepages as vice president of reputation services, where he said he will continue to help the company keep users’ phones safer from scams.

NumberCop tracked more than 350,000 phone numbers that frequently used spamming and phishing techniques to protect users of its iOS and Android applications. NumberCop will continue providing service to existing users through the end of the year.
